Dentist

Born in the Maritimes, I was raised from a young age on a mixed farm in the badlands, north of Drumheller. My wife, Shelley, and I have lived in Edmonton for over two decades raising our three children. Outside of dentistry, I enjoy family time, cycling, and photography, and I am an avid reader.

I attended the University of Alberta, graduating from the Faculty of Dentistry. I have also had the privilege of working as a clinical instructor at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry to help train and support the next generation of dentists.

Many years ago I was diagnosed with a sleep-disordered breathing condition. At that time CPAP was the only treatment option presented to me. After several years of professional development and continuing education, I investigated an innovative dental solution for this medical condition. Oral Appliance Therapy is an effective treatment that is covered by many health plans. It is recognized as a valid treatment by the Canadian Thoracic Society and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine for snoring, mild to moderate sleep apnea, and for patients with more severe apnea but who are intolerant of CPAP.

I now help others with snoring and obstructive sleep apnea issues. As a member of the Alberta Dental Sleep Medicine Study Club and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, I stay current on recent research, educational resources, and contemporary treatments.

I look forward to helping you with any snoring or sleep-disordered breathing problems and working with you to optimize healthy and restorative sleep. We all want to enjoy improved health, longevity, and quality of life.
